ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Step Up For Students is a Florida state scholarship program that allows families to customize their children's education and development. At Nakamura Swimming, we are authorized to accept students through the following categories:

FES-UA (Unique Abilities): For students with special needs seeking therapies and adaptive activities.

PEP (Personalized Education Program): For homeschool students who integrate swimming as a fundamental part of their physical development curriculum.
WHY NAKAMURA?
ADAPTIVE METHODOLOGY:
We use our survival technique foundation (originally for infants) to serve students with special needs of all ages. We understand that fear of water and motor coordination challenges require patience, repetition, and a nurturing approach.

Ms. Fabiana Nakamura has been dedicated to inclusive teaching since 2008. Her approach is grounded in decades of technical and academic experience.
FOCUS ON INDEPENDENCE:
Our goal is for every student to develop self-confidence and motor skills that positively impact their quality of life outside the pool.

Whether at home or at our locations, we ensure that learning happens in a structured way that respects the student’s biological pace.
