THE METHODOLOGY
The methodology developed by Fabiana Nakamura addresses the child's ability to learn water survival techniques in a humanized way, respecting the individuality of each one. The premise of the method is that each child has his/her own pace of learning and development.
The main objective here is to lead the child to acquire self-confidence, enabling him/ her to be more receptive to the teacher's information and guidance, and consequently to progress more quickly. In order to keep the child engaged and stimulated, appropriate materials are used for the child's age and skill level.
In addition to the differentiated survival method for children aged 6 months to 3 years, Fabiana Nakamura has adapted the technique to cater specifically to students with special needs. Children with special needs, regardless of their biological age, often have challenges similar to those experienced by children aged 6 months to 3 years, from fear of water to motor coordination challenges.
